Consistency was the name of Mike McClelland's game at the Harris Chain Bassmaster Elite Series. Pros who win tour-level events will often tell you that keeping an open mind was a critical component in their success. But a narrow-minded approach worked quite nicely for Mike McClelland at the recent Harris Chain Bassmaster Elite Series. Read More..

At first thought, I couldn't come up with anything when asked if I had a "one that got away" story, but then I remembered the second day of the 2008 Elite Series tournament on Lake Murray, the Carolina Clash.

During that event, I had three or four main lake points I was working in a rotation, and I hadn't caught a keeper during the first half of the day. MCCLELLAND REFLECTS

Mike McClelland might feel a pang of regret for not winning the 2008 Toyota Tundra Bassmaster Angler of the Year crown, the sport's most coveted title, but he's not kicking himself over it.

He wouldn't have any reason to, not with the Bassmaster Elite Series season he's had. Read More
